Here is what happened on tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl:
Chuck is working hard to find his father’s secret, but has reached a dead end. Bart sees through all of his sneaky tricks and threatens Amira again. Only, this time Lily overhears the conversation and confronts Bart about it. It turns out Amira and Bart had a fling and Lily assumes she is now using Chuck to blackmail Bart. This is all strange and awkward for the three of them. Lily reveals the news to Chuck who then demands the truth from Amira. He knows something must have happened during their one scandalous weekend together and wants all of the juicy details. He refuses to let her leave with the money until he gets the truth. Chuck only leaves when he hears that Blair needs his help.
Serena is trying to start a new adult life with Steven by joining one of the high society groups and hosting her first event. Before the party even starts there is a bump in the road when, she and Nate see their significant others together for lunch. While we do think shes probably too young and immature for Nate, he jumps the gun and dumps Sage via voicemail. I guess Nate is trying to learn his lesson from the past. Serena tries to be more mature and asks Steven if he is seeing someone else. He denies it. Lily tells Serena to be an adult about this and host her party first and deal with her relationship in private later. Ah the words of a wise mother, but Serena is often her own worst enemy.
Blair is stepping into her role at the head of her mother’s fashion company. She is getting interviewed for WWD, but she doesn’t have a team or finished collection behind her. Her minions are stepping in as fake Waldorf employees and fans. There is one big snag in the plan. Nelly Yuki from back in Constance has moved up from her days of being abused by Blair and is the WWD reporter. Blair tries everything from blackmail to compliments, but Nelly is older and more mature. She gives Blair 24 hours to produce a collection for WWD. She is pitting Blare against fellow socialite Poppy Lipton. Apparently both of them are showing collections with the same fabric igniting the sabotage alarm in Blair’s mind. She must take out Poppy’s collection at Serena’s shindig. Is another showdown between the former friends coming or will they kiss and make up?
Dan is having a hard time. He is staying with Georgina, trying to forget seeing Ivy and Rufus and has been dropped from his book deal. Nate offers to publish his book in The Spectator despite the tell all storyline. After shopping the book around Dan finds that everyone loves his book, but aren’t willing to publish it with full names and all of the juicy details. Georgina tries to dissuade him, but in the end Dan turns to his old friend for the deal. Nate reads just one page and asks Dan if he is sure he wants to publish this and risk losing his friends and family. Dan says yes, he is willing to risk it all.
At the party, Nate and Serena are bonding in their grudge against their significant others without even trying to get the truth. Finally after a lot of strange conversations, the four of them end up in a room together. There is clearly something up between Sage and Steven, but it doesn’t seem romantic. When Sage kisses Nate and proclaims her love, Steven punches him in the face! He tells Serena that Sage is his 17 year old daughter. Whoa! We didn’t see that coming. Well played Gossip Girl! Apparently Serena had no idea Steven had a daughter. Serena might be mad, but she has more secrets than Steven we are sure! Nate is not impressed that his new girlfriend is in high school, but we know pretty innocent Nate. With Steven’s approval, he is going to keep dating the teenager. What? This is crazy! Serena and Steven walk sage to school at Constance where the youngster is scheming to split them up. Aw, it’s like passing the reigns down to a new generation.
Chuck arrives at Blair’s side when he gets a text, but it’s a fake. Bart and Amira tricked Chuck. They took the money and Amira left, while hewas out trying to take care of Blair. Maybe Bart has Chuck pegged properly. Bart wants a truce with his son. Chuck says no and threatens to take everything from him once and for all.
Blair crashes Serena’s party to get her own designs seen. After she steals Poppy’s designs she gets caught by her old pals. It turns out that it wasn’t a set up or sabotage. Nelly just planted the seed and let Blair do what she always does. Now Nelly can show her true colours. Fortunately at the last minute, Nelly and Poppy decide to leave Blair out of the article all together. Maybe she will start acting like an adult now. The next day, Dorota comes to the rescue and hires a team to create a brand new beautiful collection. They only have 10 days until the show, so they need to work some fashion magic.
