The trailer for The Carrie Diaries is finally here! As excited as we are for AnnaSophia Robb to step into the high fashion shoes of a young Carrie Bradshaw, we’re definitely a little anxious to see how she changes our ideas of who Carrie is. The show kicks off in 1984 when Carrie is still in high school a short time after the death of Carrie’s mother. At the suggestion of her father, Carrie heads to Manhattan to start an internship to get a change of scenes to help cope with her loss. High fashion and tons of drama inevitably follows. We love that AnnaSophia Robb’s Carrie reads her diary entries out loud the same way Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie read pieces of her latest column out loud to set the mood for the show.
We can’t wait to check it out in January 2013 when the show kicks off on the CW. What do you think? Will you be watching? Given that there are only about 7 episodes of Gossip Girl left, we definitely think The Carrie Diaries will take its place as the most fashionable show on TV.
