Emma Watson just announced that she has decided to go back to Brown University to finish her college degree. Emma will return to Providence, Rhode Island for the 2013 winter semester, so if you happen to be taking classes at Brown, you might just have a Hermione sighting in the very near future. We love that Emma has decided to pursue her education despite already being a wildly successful actress. She’s not the only star to go to university despite having found fame and fortune at an early age. These stars also have very impressive university degrees:
Despite being a world renowned actress when she was barely a teenager, Natalie Portman still made school a priority in her life. She took time out from her film career to study psychology at Harvard where she received her BA.
Not only does Kate Beckinsale have one of the best figures in Hollywood, she has one of the most brilliant brains in Tinseltown too. The actress studied French, Russian and literature at Oxford and speaks four languages fluently (English, French, Russian and German).
Not only was Jodie Foster the valedictorian of Lycee Francais de Los Angeles, she also went on to receive a degree in literature from Yale.
Supermodel Christy Turlington completely embodies the idea of “more than just a pretty face.” She has a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature and eastern philosophy from NYU and a Master’s degree in public health from Columbia.
Maybe modeling in Paris inspired Brooke Shields! Brooke has a degree in French literature from Princeton.
Before her acting career really took off, Eva Longoria studied kinesiology at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. We wonder if this is why Eva loves to date professional athletes.
