Stars Who’ve Shockingly Never Won The Emmy

Jon Hamm

Dop Draper has been robbed! Sure, Mad Men’s taken home the trophy for Best Drama four years in a row, but the man who makes the show has yet to be honoured for his ground-breaking role. We think 2012 might just be his year, even though he’s got some serious competition in the Best Drama Actor category. Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad is the frontrunner. Mad Men is set to make Emmy history this year if it takes home the award for Best Drama for the fifth time in a row. If that happens, isn’t about time the star of the show got a little recognition too?

Christina Hendricks
Joan Holloway is more of a not-so-silent partner on Mad Men, thanks to her curves and quick wit. Christina Hendricks may have been nominated 3 times in the past for her unforgettable role on Mad Men, but just like Jon Hamm, her talents haven’t been singled out for making the show what it is. There’s unfortunately little hope for Christina this year. She’s up against Downton Abbey’s Maggie Smith who definitely kills it as Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham.

Ryan Seacrest
Okay, so he’s technically not an actor. We’d still like to point out that Ryan Seacrest is the arguably the dude who made hosting a reality TV show one of the most sought-after jobs in Hollywood. Despite all this, he’s never actually taken home a trophy for Best Host in a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. Jeff Probst of Survivor fame usually walks home with the trophy, but he’s not nominated this year. Ryan just has to hope that Betty White doesn’t pull a fast one on him. She’s nominated for Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.

Amy Poehler
This Amy’s third nomination, but she’s yet to score an Emmy for her work as Leslie Knope on the hit show Parks and Recreation. Unfortunately, the Best Comedy Actress category is one of the most competitive categories at this year’s Emmys with some of the strongest people in comedy — not just women — working today all up for the same award. There are 7 nominees in total! Amy will have to beat out Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Zooey Deschanel, Edie Falco and Lena Dunham for the trophy. Yikes.

Larry David
Larry David is the Susan Lucci of the prime-time Emmy Awards. Despite being nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series 5 times, he’s never actually won. Sure, he has 2 Emmys for his work on Seinfeld, but that doesn’t really give Larry any credit for his amazing comedic timing and delivery. Still, he probably won’t win this year either. Larry’s up against fronrunner Louie C.K.
