Taylor Swift‘s new song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” might be about Jake Gyllenhaal! Everyone’s been wondering who Taylor is singing about on her first single from her upcoming album Red, available October 22. The country starlet is known for writing revenge songs about ex-boyfriends. Joe Jonas and John Mayer have already been the subject of some of Taylor’s harsh lyrics.

So why do we think Taylor’s new song is about Jake? Well, here’s the first clue. Some of the lyrics go as follows: “”And you will hide away and find your piece of mind with some indie record that’s much cooler than mine.” While you might be wondering if she’s referring to a musician or just a music fan, in the video for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” the camera flashes to a guy listening to a record when these lyrics play out. Jake’s a huge fan of indie music. He’s often at indie music scene hotspots like Coachella and South by South West, and he loves discovering new bands before they make it big. He even starred in French synth-pop group The Shoes’ video “Time to Dance.” Since he’s also one of the only non-musicians that Taylor has dated, we have a feeling that this song is about him. Besides, Taylor’s only other high-profile actor boyfriend has been Taylor Lautner, and she already wrote a song about him called “Back to December.”

And just in case you thought Taylor might sing about an ex-boyfriend twice, Joe Jonas confirmed that the song is definitely not about him. “I can say it’s not about me, because I don’t think we’ve ever tried another time,” Joe told 94.7 Fresh FM. Although Taylor allegedly promised Jake she wouldn’t write a song about their relationship when they broke up in January of 2011, we guess some things change! One thing that doesn’t change, however, is Taylor’s love of revenge songs. Conor Kennedy, you better hope you’re not next!
