In fairness, no one really knew that the entire continent would go crazy for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but it still shocked us nonetheless to find out that the entire Honey Boo Boo family makes just $40,000 for an entire season of their TLC reality show. And that’s not even per person! The entire family has to split the $40,000 pay check. Right now, the show is getting an audience of about 3 million viewers an episode, which means Honey Boo Boo herself, Alana Thompson, along with Mom June Shannon, Sugarbear and Pumpkin have some serious renegotiating to do for the next season.

We had a feeling the show would be a hit after seeing Alana on Toddlers & Tiaras, where she initially rose to stardom. Here’s to hoping the girl who loves her “special juice” will start making mad cash, or at least get a college fund out of the deal, for season 2.
