While bittersweet, we have been anticipating the finale of this great season of True Blood for weeks. See what happened on tonight’s episode now:
When we return the fairies are blasting Russell with light trying to stop him from entering the bar. Right before he gets in, Eric comes out of nowhere and grabs him saving Sookie again. While Eric gets ready to kill Russell, the effects of all of that fairy light power get to him and Russell lights up, melts and explodes in Eric’s arms. Wow, what a way to start! Russell is dead before the opening credits!
Sookie runs out to help Jason at the same time as Nora arrives. Apparently Nora has never smelled at fairy, because she really wants to take a bit out of Sookie. Eric makes her promise to stay away, but she seems a little obsessed by her smell. Jason wakes up and sees his mother instead of Sookie. He starts seeing his father too. Eric goes to Fangtasia to gather supplies and Tara before they go back to the Authority. The vampire trio back to Bon Temp to get Sookie. They believe she is the only one who might be able to shake some sense back into Bill. Jason insists on going too to get revenge for his parents and protect Sookie. Jason is clearly going crazy. He wants to kill every vampire around even those close to him. He keeps seeing his parents cheer him on while he stocks up on guns. Jason seems to be on a vigilante mission because everything in his life keeps getting ruined. Eric ties up Jason, Sookie and Tara and drives them into The Authority as prisoners.
Sam is brought to Bill. He tries to explain about little Emma, but Bill says he knows too much. Before Bill can bite into him, Sam turns into a fly and swoops out of the air ducts. Bill is acting like a wild dictator telling the guards how they are in danger. He sends them on a mission to kill anything that moves.
When they are alone finally alone Salome asks Bill where chancellor Kibwe is. Bill admits that he killed him because he wanted to drink Lilith’s blood. Then Bill lies and says Lilith told him Salome was meant to lead. Hmm, what is Bill up to? He falls into bed with Salome stroking her ego. Bill gets momentarily shaken up when he sees Sookie entering the Authority. He doesn’t know his friends are getting armed in the elevator.
Sam goes back to the cells and tells Luna about their chances of escape. At first he thinks they should leave Emma until they can think of a better plan. Then he gets a new idea to how they can save Emma. Luna turns into Rev. Steve Newlin and takes Emma out of her cage. They gets to the lobby before being stopped by the secretary. While they try to slip out an angry Rosalyn comes to get Steve. He has to do damage control for that video of him and Russell Edgington. She has no idea Russell is dead and Steve is gone. Now Luna is in trouble. She has to do a live speech as Newlin. During the speech, Luna starts getting sick and shifts back into herself. They cut the feed while she begs the world for help. Chancellor Rosalyn goes to attack Luna, but as a fly Sam flies right into her mouth. He shifts back into himself while inside her making her explode. That was hands down one of the best vampire deaths ever! Luna collapses to the floor.
After killing the vampires, Alcide and his father are bonding. Martha shows up with Alcide’s lady wolf Ricki who is messed up. She is going crazy after they forced her to drink vampire blood. She thinks she might have overdosed. Ricki starts sweating blood and throwing up. She is still same enough to get mad at Alcide for not calling. Ricki tells them how JD was assaulting the female wolves. Alcide’s father tells him the only way to beat JD is to play his game which means Alcide has to do v and fight him. Alcide, Martha and his father go to where the pack is draining a vampire and beats JD down. The pack bows down to Alcide. He give a great speech about the honor and pride of a pack. It’s Alcide’s pack now! It will be great watching him rule next season, as long as he doesn’t get hooked!
Andy brings his new fairy “bride” Maurella to Merlotte’s. Holly is feeling romantic, but Andy is petrified. He tells her the truth about the fairy. Before he finishes his story, the fairy starts giving birth right in the bar after only a few weeks of being pregnant. Holly helps her give birth on the pool table with Layfayette and Arlene watching. Maurella really seems to be enjoying it. She eventually gives birth to a baby girl and another, and another, and another. Then she gets up and leaves Andy with four baby girl fairies. She says it is his duty to care for them.
Finally Salome prepares to drink Lilith’s blood. The elevator doors in The Authority open and Jason starts shooting up the place and cutting the cameras. Eric and Nora swoop in and kill an army of guards. Sookie races to free Jessica from her cell. Tara frees Pam and the two share surprising and sexy kiss! Jessica hugs Jason and professes her true love, but Jason says he can’t love a vampire. Eric sends them all back up the elevator to safety except him and Sookie who are going to find Bill.
Salome drinks all of Lilith’s blood while Bill watches ignoring his warnings. Something is going on. She starts convulsing while Bill stands by smiling. He poisoned her by filling the vial with silver laced blood. He says she is so narcissistic that she didn’t see his betrayal. Then he stakes her. Before he drinks Lilith’ss blood himself, Eric and Sookie run in. They warn Bill to stop. Bill starts insulting Sookie and swearing at her. He’s so hard and starts preaching the vampire bible. This is not the same Bill anymore. He drinks Lilith’s blood and starts convulsing and bleeding all over. Finally Bill melts into a puddle of blood. While Sookie cries, something happens. A bloody naked Bill rises from the puddle. Eric screams “RUN!” and the credits begin. Now we have to wait a ear to see more of this new super evil Bill!
