Kelly Ripa will announce her new permanent co-host on September 4th! Since November of 2011, after her former co-host Regis Philbin retired, Kelly has hosted Live! with 59 different guest hosts.
Everyone is speculating that Kelly’s new co-host will be one of the 59 guest hosts who has appeared on Live! after Regis’s retirement. So who will her co-host likely be? Some of the rumoured frontrunners are Neil Patrick Harris, New York Giant Michael Strahan, Jerry Seinfeld, Jerry O’Connell, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban, and Seth Meyer. Meyer, however, recently told a Florida newspaper that he will, in fact, be returning to Saturday Night Live this fall for election season. But who says you can’t film two things at once? Kelly Ripa has always been good at it!

In that case, why can’t Kelly’s bestie Anderson Cooper join her on Live!? We know he’s a busy man, but still.
“We have a connection like nobody else,” Ripa recently told Us Weekly about her best friend, Anderson. “I worship him!”
Anderson fueled rumours that he might be joining Kelly on Live! when he posted this Instagram photo last week of himself with Kelly on vacation in Croatia. Anderson joined Kelly on vacay to nurse his broken heart after photos of his long-term boyfriend Ben Maisani kissing another man surfaced online. Gotta love having a friend to lean on. Fingers crossed for Live! with Kelly and Anderson!
