Carly Rae Jepsen is dating singer-songwriter Matthew Koma. Haven’t you always wondered who Carly is singing about in “Call Me Maybe”? We have, and we can’t help but wonder if Matthew inspired the lyrics! Apparently, the two have been together for about a year. We guess that makes him Carly’s gentleman caller.
Although Carly has been shy about revealing things about her personal life in the press, she recently told People magazine a little bit about Matthew:
“He’s a really great guy and really talented. I really like guys who have confidence, but not the cocky over-the-top confidence. Guys with the right type of confidence are really sexy. I love to go on spontaneous dates and do things that we’ve never tried before or stay at home and make a homemade dinner. I really like to cook. One of my favorite things to make is homemade sushi. I know how to make the rolls and it’s really fun to do.”
Koma opened for LMFAO this summer and is best known for his song “Parachutes.”
