Just a few days ago, news sites everywhere announced that Kristen Stewart was planning to make her first appearance after her cheating scandal at Toronto International Film Festival. Her former beau, Robert Pattinson, has been putting on a brave face lately while promoting his latest film, Cosmopolis. Kristen, on the other hand, has skipped out on her scheduled appearances. She opted out of appearing at the London premiere of On the Road last week, apparently to avoid unwanted media attention.

On the Road, Kristen’s next big film based on the famous novel by Jack Kerouac, received mixed reviews at Cannes but producers are obviously hoping for a better reception at TIFF. The movie will get a lot of extra attention, and not just because it features Stewart’s first nude scene. With Kristen keeping a low-profile after her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders was revealed, we can only imagine that everyone will be trying to score an interview with Kristen during the festival. Despite all the reports that Kristen will appear at TIFF, when we received the TIFF guest list this morning, Stewart was noticeably absent from the list. Is she simply waiting to officially confirm her attendance closer to the festival, or did she get another case of cold feet? Whatever the case, TIFF promises to be a celeb-packed extravaganza this year.
