In our True Blood recap we return to Bon Temp right in the action with the intoxicated vampires still having a party. After seeing a vision of Goderich, Eric sees sense and wants to get out with Bill and Nora. The rest of the Authority vampires believe they experienced a religious moment after seeing Lilith. They believe their little mission is ok now with the goddess’ approval. Bill has to make a choice when Salome offers up a young woman for dinner. He shows his true feelings refusing because she is a mother. He remembers being a father and having to deny his own dying daughter his blood because he didn’t want to curse her the way he was cursed. Salome says he is wasting the god’s gift to them by not eating humans. She gives Bill no other choice than drink or die. Eric gets Nora alone to try to help her clear her mind. He tells her that he saw Goderich, but she calls Goderich crazy and a sinner for the way he killed himself. Nora goes too far when she insults Goderich to Eric. He almost kills her.
The guy who shot Sam and Luna is arrested, but he’s just one of many. Luna’s fear is making her a tad crazy for revenge. She gets so agitated that she shifts… into Sam! Why does everyone turn into Sam when they get mad? Luna steals clothes and sneaks out of the hospital. The real Sam is at the police station helping to interrogate the suspect. He turns into a snake to get answers. Luna arrives looking like Sam in desperate need of help to get back to herself. She doesn’t know how she did it and she is terrified the shift will kill her.
Jason finds Sookie before she shoots off her fairy powers. She wants to be normal. Jason reminds her that being special hasn’t been all bad. He says they can use her powers to help find the vampire that killed their parents. They go back to the fairy bar for help. The fairies take Jason and Sookie to the place where their parents died to try to look back into a time ripple to see who killed her (apparently this is another of Sookie’s fairy powers). She sees their murder, but from the eyes of the killer. She becomes the vampire in the vision which is apparently very bad and dangerous. She also sees her fairy godmother in the vision and she calls her by the name Wallow. The name means nothing to them, but it’s a start on where they can look. Sookie starts seeing visions of this faceless vampire, but it could just be her wild imagination or a real threat.
Jessica is at Fangtasia picking up hot guys for dinner. Hoyte’s new friends, the murderers, take Jessica from the bar, tie her up with silver and give her to Hoyte to kill. There is no doubt this isn’t what Hoyte had in mind when he said he hated her. They lock them in a room together so Hoyte can shoot her. He’s a better man than that. For the first time they have a real heart to heart about how she wanted to love him but couldn’t. He frees Jessica and she kills one of the men, but it’s daytime so she can’t escape yet. Hoyte says he’s going to get help. Andy, Sam and Luna still looking like Sam arrive with leads on the guys who shot them. There is no sign of Hoyte though. Luna says she smells a woman in the house. Hoyte stops a car on the road for help and a mysterious person with a gun hold him up. Before anything can happen, Luna starts getting sick. Sam holds her and cradles her as him. It’s hilarious. Thank god she changes back before he kisses himself! Luna gets sick just like when his brother turned into Sam. We are sure she will be ok, as long as this is a one time thing.
A scared and injured Lafayette is driving home from his terrifying experience in Mexico. A vision of Jesus beside him is pretty much the only thing that gets him through. When he gets home, Arlene and Holly want him to help them convince Terry the curse is over. They want him to lie about the curse being lifted. He will for a price. They gather and Lafayette starts putting on a show. The act is over when the real spirit shows up and goes into Lafayette. She will lift the curse if Terry or Patrick kill each other. Patrick runs.
Tara is still at Fangtasia and is feisty with the clients. She runs into an old classmate, who is so rude. Pam keeps her from doing anything bad, even though the woman deserved it. Later that night though Pam surprises her with a present. The old rude schoolmate is all tied up and glamoured waiting for Tara to feed on.What a good mom!
The day comes when Alcide has to fight for his pack against JD. JD wants them to hunt a young boy to prove their worth, but Alcide steps down. When JD tries to hunt the boy anyways Alcide steps in and chases him down. JD wins the fight but the pack arrives before he can kill Alcide. He tells him to leave.
At the end we see the Authority trying to think up new ways to convert all vampires to their movement. Bill comes up with the idea of bombing all True Blood factories to force them to drink from humans. Eric is shocked that Bill is helping them, but Bill says he has chosen sides. Is this for real? Is Eric the only one seeing sense now?
