Here’s what happened this week on True Blood:
When we return to the gang Alcide, Eric and Bill are being attacked by werewolves allowing Russel Edgington time to attack Sookie. Luckily, Sookie has her light power to protect her and shoot Russel across the room. Eric rushes to her aid and almost stakes Russel, but Bill stops him, because they need him alive. The Authority soldiers arrive to make the decision for them. The soldiers demand that any humans who know about this be dealt with, including Sookie, Alcide and the prisoners. Eric glamours Alcide into forgetting all about the night (including his romp with Sookie), but she has to fake it all. The Authority members kill all of the human prisoners once Eric and Bill are on their way back to the authority. I’m not sure who is good and who is bad here.
After a very confusing morning and remembering how he was betrayed by the wolves, Alcide goes back to the wolf pack. He takes over as pack master. A gorgeous young wolf lady steps up to stand with Alcide as his second. We’re sure this lovely brunette is bound to cause more dilemmas for Alcide.
Jason is still going through a rough time after his fairy encounter. He promises his father’s ghost that he will find out the truth and get revenge. He tells Sookie about seeing Hadley at the bar and what he learned about their parents. Sookie demands he take her there to protect her. They search the field until they find the entrance and try to help Hadley escape. Apparently this isn’t the same type of fairyland and Hadley says she is happy and free to leave. Another fairy who claims to want to help Sookie tells her and Jason that their parent were killed, because the vampires smelled Sookie’s fairy blood in their car. She refuses to believe it and tries attack, but is outnumbered by other fairies. I don’t know why it’s hard for her to believe. it’s not like she hasn’t met bad vampires before.
Out with Terry and Sargent Patrick, the Ifrite fire monster escapes from the barn and chases them away. Now Patrick has to admit it. If Terry was sick before, now he’s being tormented. He’s mad and confused because he feels like he was only following orders. Terry returns to Merlotte’s to tell Arlene the truth finally. She thinks he’s gone off his meds. She wants to help, but doesn’t believe him. He leaves her in bits saying she is in danger with him there.
Sam and Luna are rushed into the hospital with their gunshot wounds, while adorable little wolf Emma runs to her grandmother’s house. Her were-grandmother is going to take care of her until Sam and Luna find out who is after the shifters. Sam wants to work with Andy to hunt down the killers. Andy and Sam start the hunt in the creepy vampire killing store. The owner tries to shoot them, but Sam shoots and kills him first.
At Fangtasia, Tara and Jessica let their fight over Hoyt go out into the public. Pam stops it before anyone gets hurt, but she is proud of her new little vampire. This scene makes Hoyt think that Jessica still loves him, which is at least a little true, but she denies it. Poor Hoyt. Now he’s just going to spiral downward further. While he’s getting drained by a vampire outside Fangtasia, the same gang who shot Sam shoots the vampire. Whoever they are they know Hoyt and they pull him into the back of their van.
Lafayette goes to the hospital to see his mother after seeing Jesus’ head on a plate. His mother says his spirit is in trouble and is with his witch doctor grandfather.
When Eric and Bill get back to the Authority, there is a celebration underway. They are already interrogating Russel and Roman is ready to party with a big old bottle of 18th century blood. He wants to execute Russel as soon as possible. Something about her reaction makes me sure, Salome is the one behind all of this. Eric gets in on the good feelings and admits that Nora is his sister. He asks for a final word with her. Nora reveals she had nothing to do with Russel’s release. Eric realizes there is another traitor in the Authority, but it’s too late. When Roman tries to execute Russel things go wrong and Russel attacks Roman and stakes him right there. No! The additional of Christopher Meloni was the best part of the season who knows where they will go now without his amazing attitude.
