Could it be that two of the nicest guys in Hollywood actually despise each other? Us Weekly recently reported that British actors Robert Pattinson and Andrew Garfield, despite hanging in similar circles of friends, actually can’t stand one another. “The truth is, Andrew can’t stand Rob,” a source told Us Weekly. “Andrew hates that they’re put in the same category because they’re both English and around the same age.” While we wait for more juicy details before we decide whether to side with Team Twilight or Team Spider-man, here are five other celebrity pairs who legitimately despise one another.
Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian
In an interview with Elle Magazine this year, Hamm said, ”Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated… Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.”
Kim responded on Twitter by saying, “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.” Talk about taking the high road. The two have apparently patched things up, however. They both were on hand to shoot the season finale of 30 Rock this year.
Megan Fox and Michael Bay
In an interview for Wonderland magazine in 2009, Megan Fox opened up about what it was like to work with director Michael Bay on the Transformers franchise: “He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation,” Fox told the magazine. “He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.” Bay fired Fox from the franchise soon after.
Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osbourne
While filming an episode of Fashion Police last year, Kelly Osbourne couldn’t help but go off on a rant about Christina Aguilera’s weight while the team of fashion experts were supposed to be discussing one of Aguilera’s outfits: “She called me fat for so many f***ing years,” Osbourne said, “so you know what? F**k you! You’re fat too.”
Kanye West and Taylor Swift
When Taylor Swift won the award for “Best Female Video” at the VMAs in 2009, Kanye West jumped on stage, grabbed the mic from Taylor and said: “I’mma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” The crowd started to boo, but Taylor remained as calm and collected as ever, although she’s had a good time poking fun at the incident ever since.
