It looks like Lady Gaga is about to become the next official crossover artist. The “Born This Way” singer just tweeted this dramatic photo of herself with the caption: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

We couldn’t think of a director more suited to Gaga for her first Hollywood film. The Sin City, Grindhouse and Machete director shares Gaga’s love of shock value and all things morbidly beautiful. We can’t wait to see Gaga in Rodriguez’ Machete Kills, in theatres in 2013. The star-studded film also includes Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Alexa Vega and Lindsay Lohan, but we have a feeling Lady Gaga will be the real star.
