Beyonce may have made losing baby weight look easy, but Jessica Simpson is going to literally need an uphill battle to shed the baby weight she gained while pregnant with daughter Maxwell Drew. The most recent photos of Simpson from TMZ show the formerly fit but frequently fluctuating starlet looking extremely heavy for her tiny 5’3″ frame. The singer and actress, who reportedly weighed 182 pounds after giving birth, now has a contract with Weight Watchers to get down to 130 pounds on a strict timeline… a contract worth $4 million. For that amount of money, we’d gladly lock ourselves in the trunk of our car for a few weeks, but unfortunately we’re not famous enough to get paid to lose weight.
Despite the hefty pay cheque for shedding pounds, rumours are circulating that Simpson is not only having trouble losing weight, she also might lose her contract if she doesn’t step up to the plate. The most recent rumour is that she’ll lose her deal with Weight Watchers if she doesn’t shed at least 20 to 30 pounds by the end of August. Simpson took to Twitter (where else?) to put an end to the gossip, tweeting: “Just so everyone knows . . . Weight Watchers hasn’t put ANY pressure on me!”
Pressure or not, Simpson seems to be taking her weight loss seriously. She’s recently been spotted going to and from famed fitness guru Harley Pasternak’s West Hollywood gym. Pasternak has been working with Simpson for several years and is also famous for helping sculpt the admirable physiques of Halle Berry, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and even former fitness icon Jane Fonda.
