Demi Lovato may have co-hosted the Teen Choice Awards last night, but she made more headlines for her possible wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet. The singer sported her first look of the evening, a feathered mini dress by Falguni and Shane Peacock, while walking the Teen Choice Awards signature pink carpet. Fashion critics and celebrity bloggers alike are still trying to figure out if the dress’s side mesh paneling exposed more the Demi planned. Was it a wardrobe malfunction of Janet Jackson proportions or just a Jennifer Lopez-style success in showing as much as possible? As we deliberate, we decided to take a look back a some of the most famous wardrobe malfunctions of all time.

Janet Jackson
While performing at the 2004 Super Bowl with Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson had one of the most famous “wardrobe malfunctions” of all time. In fact, she coined the term. When Timberlake went to pull off a piece of Jackson’s wardrobe while singing the line “Bet I’ll have you naked by the end of this song,” he ended up revealing the songstress’s bare breast. The duo both got blamed for planning the malfunction as a publicity stunt after CBS got slapped with lawsuits.
Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian overshadowed sister Kim on the internet for once when she had a “nip slip” while appearing on Fox & Friends. The reality star was wearing a transparent sheer black button up shirt that shifted to the right while she was talking about showed more than Khloe, who wasn’t wearing a bra, bargained for.”Thank God! I f—ing love nipples!!!!” She tweeted later: “I had a nip slip and I loved it! My mom just called me saying my nip slip is “all over the internet! Ha! Is it weird that I love it? Who knew nipples were so special?”
Tara Reid

It was a mistake, you know!” Tara Reid said after she was photographed on the red carpet of Diddy’s 35th birthday with one side of her dress completely off in 2004.”But you would think my boob had popped out and shot Gandhi! Britney Spears
Britney Spears seemed to be following the lead of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan back in 2006 when she was photographed on more than one occasion pantyless (Ladies, please learn how to exit limos if you’re going to go commando). Eventually, the pop star decided to cover up, and she let us all know on her personal website that she’d gone shopping for a new — um — “look”: “Thank God for Victoria Secrets’ new underwear line.”
Lily Allen
Lily Allen caused a stir when she was photographed stepping out of her car while smoking a cigarette with her left boob popping out of the V of her V-neck in 2008. “I wore a loose fitting T-shirt yesterday,” Allen blogged after the fact. “It was very hot in London yesterday and it’s no secret I don’t like wearing bras. Besides I don’t need to — measuring in at 32A, it hardly seems necessary.”
