After sitting atop the the box office chart for the last two weeks, expect Madagascar to pass the torch to one of the new releases this week. The most likely candidate to take it will be the latest addition from Pixar. Also opening is a movie that rewrite an American President’s history, and a comedy-drama about the end of the world.
Brave is this year’s Pixar movie, and it is poised to be box office gold. It’s about young Scottish princess who wants to control her destiny. She’s given the chance to do so when she’s given one wish, but she must also undo a beastly curse at the same time. This movie has been advertised for over a year in front of what feels like every released 3D movie. If it’s as good as it looks it will probably be one of the top movies of the year.
In your wildest imagination did you ever expect to see a movie about Abraham Lincoln fighting the undead? Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is such a movie, and it’s brought to you by the director of Wanted. With Tim Burton producing you know it’s going to be dark and twisted, but will audiences bite?

Steve Carell and Keira Knightley star in this artsy movie about an unlikely friendship that develops after it’s announced the world will end in a few weeks. This movie has potential to be a sleeper hit this summer, but only if word of mouth gets out about it.
