Who would have ever guessed that the character with the most interesting love life on Mad Men would be Pete Campbell? While Don Draper was busy being a faithful and adoring husband to Megan on Season 5 of the series, at least we had Pete’s affair with his friend’s wife, played by Gilmore Girls alum Alexis Bledel, to keep us interested. And it turns out that while things were heating up on screen, it was a case of life imitating art off screen as well.
Us Weekly is reporting that actor Vincent Kartheiser, who plays Pete Campbell, and Bledel have been quietly dating for the past few months and were recently spotting kissing on a flight between New York and Los Angeles. Although there’s no word yet on whether Bledel’s character will return for Season 6 of the series, here’s to hoping her off screen romance with Kartheiser is a little less tumultuous than life in the swinging ‘60s.
