This weekend Leah Miller, host of E! is going to be on the Red Carpet of the Academy Awards for CTV. This will be the first time the former MuchMusic VJ and host of So You Think You Can Dance Canada will attend the Oscars. Real Style Network took the opportunity to ask Leah a few questions about the upcoming event.
Real Style Network: Who are you most excited to meet/see at the Oscars?
Leah Miller: I really wish Ryan Gosling was going to be there, I definitely think he should have been nominated and recognized for his work in both Ides of March and Drive. However, since he won’t be, it would be very cool to see Brad Pitt; he’s so handsome.
Real Style Network: Which films and actors are you hoping will win an Oscar this year?
Leah Miller: I really love Meryl Streep. In fact, I was watching Julie & Julia just the other night, and she is so wonderful in everything she does.
Real Style Network: What are your favourite movies of all time?
Leah Miller: I love movies! I really can’t choose, it’s too hard to pick just a few.
Real Style Network: Which stars outfits are you most looking forward to seeing?
Leah Miller: My top 3 right now are Michelle Williams, Emma Stone and Angelina Jolie.
Real Style Network: What are some of your beauty and hair tips/tricks to get red carpet ready?
Leah Miller: For me, I think the most important thing is to get a good night sleep, stay well hydrated by drinking lots of water, and of course, moisturize!
Real Style Network: Can you tell us what and who you will be wearing for CTV’s Live Red Carpet show?
Leah Miller: I’ll be wearing a floor length dress from Maxi Boutique in Yorkville and jewelry from Canadian designer Mark Lash.
Real Style Network: What will you be doing after the Red Carpet?
Leah Miller: Going to watch the show on my girlfriends couch! Then I’ll probably stay up and watch E! After Party: The 2012 Academy Awards on E!
Real Style Network: Are you going to any Oscar parties?
Leah Miller: No!! I really prefer staying in with friends over going out.
Real Style Network: You’ve been hosting on E! for about 4 months now. What have been some of the highlights so far?
Leah Miller: It’s been such a wonderful ride so far. From reporting backstage at the Golden Globes and now the Oscars red carpet, to interviewing some of my favourite reality celebs like Khloe Kardashian and Joel McHale. I’m really enjoying working for E! and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!
