Katie Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre, the two mega-celebs-for-little-reason from across the pond, were granted a super-speedy divorce today at London’s High Court. Yes, it took a grand total of 42 seconds.

The highly volatile relationship, with its ups and downs well-documented by photogs and train-wreck reality TV, is over. For now. You know how these things go. They can remarry in six weeks. Hopefully not to each other. 

They each sued each other for divorce. Apparently this is unusual. Which makes it fitting.

Today Judge Bradley said:

“Given that I have to exercise discretion in determining what to permit to disclose to the press, I find it difficult to do that without the parties and their representatives to express their views to the court.”

However, she added: “I think the press are entitled to know the basis on which the decree was pronounced, and each was on the basis of unreasonable behaviour.”

Unreasonable behavior, indeed. These two put the drunken shenanigans of young Hollywood to shame.

The writing staff at Canada’s Pop Culture are pretty passionate about this crazy couple. Had you listened in on a meeting only a week ago, you would have heard:

“Her skin’s orange.”

“I know. And yet she has her moments. She can be gorgeous.”

“She’s had sooo much work done. She’s a mess.”

“It just bugs me that there are kids involved in this craziness. They didn’t ask for this.”

“I think Andre should get custody. I kinda like him.”

And on and on it went.

And yes, we’ll probably read whatever trashy book Katie writes next, no doubt pontificating of the pain of a failed marriage. (The one pictured above is an Alibris find. In case you were wondering.)
