One of the highlights of New York Fashion Week, for beauty editors, at least, was an exciting sneak peek at two of the nail polishes Marc Jacobs will be launching as part of his upcoming beauty collection at Sephora. The nail polish was inspired by a custom-made coffee table that Jacobs has in his house, which is apparently covered with 30 coats of lacquer. Although reps for the upcoming Marc Jacobs Beauty collection kept quiet about the details of the makeup collection, not even revealing how many colours of polish we can expect or what other products Marc Jacobs has in store (A mascara? False lashes? Liquid liner? We want to know!), we can definitely predict it’s going to cause a stampede at Sephora when it finally launches in Fall 2013.

We were excited to get a preview of two of Marc Jacobs’ new nail polishes last night. Models at his New York Fashion Week runway show wore one coat of a deep red shade called Jezebel topped with a coat of Shiny.
