Gossip Girl returned last night, making Mondays are new favourite day once again, now that trendsetters Blair and Serena are back in our lives. As usual, we were drooling over the gorgeous fashion last night, and we even showed you how you can copy Blair’s pink and polka dot look from the premiere. While the fashion on the show never ceases to surprise us, one thing we can always predict is that Serena’s long blonde hair will always look effortlessly beautiful and totally voluptuous.
Gossip Girl hairstylist Liz Reilly revealed the secret to Blake Lively’s tousled tresses to InStyle magazine, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to find out that the look is relatively easy to achieve. Reilly uses Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to give Blake her beachy waves. “Spray the texturizer at the root of dry hair for a nice lift and hold,” she told InStyle. “To get Blake’s look, I generously use the spray then roll her hair into a bun and let in set.” Liz then spritzes Blake’s hair lightly with hairspray and leaves it in a bun for a few minutes. Then she lets the bun loose and pulls her fingers through Blake’s hair to give it that effortless tousled look.
