Learn how to get some of these trends from makeup artist Jackie Shawn in the fall issue of Real Style Magazine.

Dramatic red lips – This season make your lips pop with a bold shade of red. As seen on the runways of Gucci and more, red lipstick is going dark and dramatic this season. Rich shades of wine, burgundy, and oxblood can give your lips a new life. Keep the rest of your makeup sparse to not look too overdone.

Multi-Coloured Eye Shadow – While this trend, shown on the Prada runway can seem difficult wearing multiple shades of eye shadow will change your entire look once mastered. While designers got creative in their ways of mixing shadow colours, you can keep it simple. Copy Prada’s look and use a different colour shadow on your top and bottom lids and then a different colour in the liner for something easy to accomplish. You can probably use the colours you already have at home to create multiple looks.

Coloured Cheeks – Whether you want rosy pinks, sun kissed bronze or burn reds models were highlighting their cheeks for fall. Some of the runway looks could get pretty dramatic, but you want it to look more natural in real life. Keep your bronzer and blush handy though for sun kissed , rosy cheeks all winter long.

Smudged Liner – Get an edgy rocker chic look with dark smudged liner that almost anyone can do. Keep it simple with your basic black liner and smudge it as much as you want. Some designers went wild with black liner fading up to the brows, while others like Marc Jacobs just smudged it at on the bottom lid for that morning after look.

Fresh Faced – One of the biggest trends on the runway wasn’t dramatic at all. Keeping your makeup sparse and bare was seen nearly everywhere. The less is more ideal was put into effect at Proenza Schouler where minimal mascara and glossy lips were all it took to make models shine.
