Kristen Stewart wasn’t worried about filming her intense nude scenes in On the Road. She had a completely different concern altogether. The hardest part about playing teenage bride Marylou in her latest movie, playing at Toronto International Film Festival today, was going blonde for the part. In fact, Stewart felt like she had to learn how to be a completely different person with blonde hair.
“I feel like my whole body rejects it, but it was really important for the character. It was like learning an accent,” Kristen told Glamour magazine, about dying her famous dark brown hair golden for the role. “I’m starting to carry a bag and even put on lipstick. Very mature for me.”

Kristen is no stranger to transforming for movie roles. She cut her hair short to play Joan Jett in The Runaways after Jett asked Kristen to adopt her signature shag for the part.
