These women prove that if you’re willing to work for it, you just might be in the best shape of your life well into your 40s.
Gwen Stefani, 42
With her latest No Doubt album dropping this week, it’s hard to believe that 42-year-old Gwen Stefani has any time to work out with such a hectic schedule and two young kids. When asked by Harper’s Bazaar what her secret is to her perfectly toned abs and fit bod, Gwen responded frankly: “There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself!”
Elle Macpherson, 49
She may have been called “The Body” by the fashion industry when she was younger, but the supermodel still lives up to her nickname! The Australian model keeps her long legs looking gorgeous by cycling, surfing and hitting the gym. She also avoids alcohol, which is chocked full of empty calories.
Halle Berry, 46
Halle Berry is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, and she makes it look so effortless. The 46-year-old stays fit by using Harley Pasternak’s 5-Factor Fitness plan and doing lots of core training and cardio.
Gwyneth Paltrow, 40
Gwyneth Paltrow has never been shy to admit that she dedicates a lot of time and energy to staying in great shape. The mother of two works out regularly with trainer Tracy Anderson and watches what she eats. “I believe in moderation of everything,” she told British Yahoo. “I think exercise is, for me, exercise and not eating like junk food, like I’ll eat fried food, I’ll eat a cake, but I will want to have it homemade or from a good restaurant. I don’t want to eat processed food. I don’t count calories but that’s because I exercise like a fiend because you can’t have one without the other.”
If you’ve ever seen Madonna in concert, you know that the woman has serious stamina! The 54-year-old singer has tried every workout craze under the sun and is currently obsessed with dance workouts. Madonna even released a workout video, Addicted to Sweat, on September 5th, which features the Queen of Pop and her trainer Nicole Winhoffer showing you how to get Madge’s toned bod.
