You may think pink is too young and girly, but pink makeup does so much more than that when worn correctly. We already told you that neon pink flatters many skin tones through your clothes, but did you know the same goes for your beauty bag? Makeup artist Bobbi Brown told Real Simple that pink “instantly lifts and brightens any skin tone.” Now is the time to start thinking about adding pink to your makeup routine.
Of course, one of the first places you think to wear pink makeup is on your cheeks. Wearing blush is crucial to beautiful, natural makeup. Don’t shy away from using blush because you are afraid of the colour! Sweet soft pinks will flatter most skin tones to add that glow you have been looking for. Remember most pink blushes go on lighter than they seem. Try them out at the store to be sure.
For your eyes, a pale pink shade is perfect to add a flush to a blushing bride or office look. Use a dark liner in black or brown to contrast the sweet pink shadows. You don’t need to (or want to) cover your eyes with a bright hue, keep pink shadow hues subtle for a pretty effect.
