It looks like Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are taking a few lessons from Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf in the friendly competition department. The two actresses are both appearing in fragrance ads this fall. As we mentioned earlier, Blake is the face of Gucci Premiere, but Leighton also has a campaign of her own going head-to-head with Blake’s in the pages of magazines this season. Leighton is the face of Vera Wang’s new ‘Lovestruck Floral Rush’ scent, the follow-up to Vera’s ‘Lovestruck’ perfume, which Leighton is also the face of.

So how do the two ads and fragrances measure up? Let’s compare:
Leighton Meester – Love Struck Floral Rush

Smells like: champagne, pink pepper and apricot blossom
Blake Lively – Gucci Premiere

Inspiration: Old Hollywood glamour
Smells like: bergamot, orange blossom, white flowers, musk, leather, wood
And the winner is…
We love Blake and Leighton too much to pick an overall winner, but we will say that Blake scores more points in the glamour department, thanks to the commercial being shot by Nicolas Winding Refn, which you can see here. Leighton, however, gets point for this being her second campaign with Vera Wang, which means the girl’s got staying power! Also, we definitely love the idea that her fragrance smells like champagne. Blair Waldorf would approve.
