Katy Perry’s Diet Secrets

We all know that two of the biggest factors in gaining weight are not sticking to a regular gym routine and eating out more often than preparing healthy food at home. That’s why we’ve always been in awe of the women in the music industry who manage to stay in great shape despite spending half of their lives on the road.

Katy Perry is one of the greatest examples of a woman who still manages to keep her body looking great even though her lifestyle is hectic. How does she do it despite her insane tour schedule, which leaves her on the road for the majority of the year without a regular gym to go to or her own kitchen to cook in? Katy, the latest spokesperson for healthy snack Popchips told People, “When I was on the road, I liked to have a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa with grilled asparagus for dinner. I always need my daily vitamins and I loved fresh-pressed juices and coconut water. I also love snacks, but pick healthier options like veggies and hummus, tangerines or Popchips.” Katy admits that her favourite flavour of the kind-of-like-chips-but-still-healthy Popchips is BBQ.

What does Katy do besides watch her diet to stay in shape? It doesn’t hurt that Katy’s show is packed full of exercise! “Eating healthy is so important because I can’t afford to get sick,” 27-year-old Perry also said to People. “When I was on the road, it was very important to eat a balanced meal and to make sure my energy was up for every two-hour show.” When she’s not performing, fun-loving Katy gets additional exercises going for hikes and bike rides.
