While summer is all about embracing a minimalistic beauty routine, fall allows us to play with darker shades and finally test out all of those runway trends we saw during fashion week. Maybelline New York and the amazing Lead Makeup Artist for Maybelline Canada, Grace Lee, gave a trend presentation to showcase the top trends in beauty and we discovered a few products Maybelline has up their sleeves for some upcoming launches.

Grace was the genius behind all of the beauty looks of World MasterCard Fashion week in Toronto and let us in on the Joe Fresh makeup looks. The top trends we’ll be wearing all season is the golden eye which Grace says is the new smoky eye, so it’s time to take a break from the charcoal and silver shadows and try some metallic’s, camels and taupes. For sheen on the lid Grace let us in on her secret concoction, add a bit of Baby Lips lip balm to the 24hr Eye Studio Colour Tattoo shade of your choice for a dewy look.

Graphic eyeliner was seen all over the runways including Vawk in Toronto, where the inspiration was described as samurai meets 60’s. Summers bright lip shades will be traded in for oxblood almost black hues, we love the intense look and it paired great with the 1920’s punk inspired pieces.
