Shiseido is planning on releasing its most expensive face cream ever on September 21, 2012. The cost? A whopping $13,213 a bottle (fives times more expensive than gold). The face cream is from Cle de Peau Beaute, a Japanese beauty line made by Shiseido and is being produced in conjunction with their 30th anniversary. Sold under the name “La Crème” internationally, the product claims to lift and tighten the skin with its powerful anti-aging properties.
Since we’re assuming Shisedo is quite aware there won’t be a lineup for this product, only three creams will be sold. Each jar contains 50 grams of the product and was created by French designer Olivier Severe. Another reason for the high price tag? The jar has 30 layers of crystal, topped with three platinum rings.
Shisedo recently announced the release of an anti-aging cream with breakthrough ingredients available this September, which we can guarantee will be more affordable.
