Maybelline has combined their richest colours ever with a formula meant to last in their new Superstay Lipstick and Lip Gloss. With a promised lasting time of 14 hours for the lipstick and 10 hours for the lip gloss, we have high hopes for this makeup. Imagine a life of not having to touch up your lips for an entire workday! We tested out the products to see if our dreams have come true.

THE TEST: Wear the lipstick all day… hopefully.
THE VERDICT: Maybe it’s just us, but these promises of ultra long lasting lipwear have fallen extremely short. No matter how or when we wore this Maybelline lipstick and lip gloss, we couldn’t make it last anywhere near the promised length. It stayed on our lips a few hours at most before we found ourselves reapplying. That said, we aren’t writing of this new Maybelline makeup yet. Regardless of the failed promises, we still like the product. The bright colours are rich and vibrant. These pinks, corals and reds are perfect to make a statement this Spring. Bold beauties are going to adore these bright colours for their own red carpet look. Just make sure to keep one in your purse for touch ups.
