Our favourite celebs looked amazing at last night’s 69th annual Golden Globes. We loved the ease and simplicity of the night’s top beauty looks including the soft and sexy hair of ‘Bridesmaids’ actress Kristen Wiig and the romantic braid that ‘Glee’ superstar Lea Michelle sported. Both hair looks were created by Dove Celebrity Stylist Mark Townsend using products from the new Dove Style+Care collection. See below for Mark’s behind the scenes scoop on how he created their styles.
How to get Kristen Wiig’s Loose Waves:
1. Begin creating the look on freshly washed, damp hair.
2. Apply a large dollop of Dove® Style+Care Nourishing Amplifier Mouse and blow hair dry.
3. Separate the hair into 3-inch sections and spray with a flexible hold hairspray. Take each section and wrap around a 2-inch curling iron to create loose waves.
4. Spray hair all over with a texturing spray to create movement.
5. Take a dime-sized amount of the Dove® Style+Care Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum in hands and rank fingers through hair to break up the waves and give them shine plus definition.
6. Finish look with Dove® Style+Care Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray all over to keep hair in place all night.
How to get Lea Michele’s Romantic French Twist:
1. Begin creating the look on freshly washed, damp hair.
2. Apply a large dollop of Dove® Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse to hair. Scrunch hair in hands and blow dry encouraging natural waves.
3. Separate hair into 2-inch sections and wrap around a 1-inch curling iron to create curls.
4. Once whole head has been curled, spray hair all over with a texturing spray.
5. Gather hair into a French Twist and secure with Bobby Pins. Mark’s Tip: Spray hair pins with Dove® Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo before placing them in the hair, this creates a good friction that keeps the pins from slipping
6. Finish look with Dove® Style+Care Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray all over to keep hair in place all night.
