As one of the biggest makeup brands around, it should be no surprise that Nars has been backstage creating the beauty looks at some of New York Fashion Week’s hottest shows. Here are Nars’ Spring 2012 creations:
At 3.1 Phillip Lim, Nars’ big trends were the metallic eye and pink lip. The lips were a very pale shade of pink featuring the upcoming ‘Gaiety Blush’ shade, which won’t be available until next Spring. The silver eye was the stand out piece of this look. To get the look use the Paris Duo Eyeshadow and Night Light Single Eyeshadow both of which feature silver shades. Sweep your silver eye shadow all the way around the top of your eye from the inner eye out to the line of your brow. Don’t be afraid to go for it!
Nars delved into pastel eyes for the Spring 2012 Creatures Of The Wind show. Nars created custom eye shadows for this fashion show that won’t be available to the public, but you can try to get this look with a pastel blue shadow on the upper lid and a pink underneath the eye from the outside to about halfway in.
For Thakoon, the look was all about the wild hair, but for the makeup Nars focused on a strong brow and pale lips. Get a thick dark brow with a brow pencil that matches your shade, then use light neutral eye shadow colours one your lid all the way to the brow. Add a hint of bronze for more colour. They used the Belle de Jours Velvet Matte Lip Pencil for the pale lips.
