Whether you’re aiming for a professional look for the daytime or want a more glamorous makeup for an evening out, a classic winged liner can launch your beauty look for an effortlessly polished visage. If you’re aiming to step up your eye makeup, try a bold winged liner for a sleek, dramatic eye. Here are some steps to help you create the perfect wing.

1) Draw an angled line from the outer corner of your eye: To create the perfect angle for your wing, hold a pencil by the side of your nostril up to the end of your brow to act as your guide. Then dip your angled brush in a black gel liner and sweep a diagonal line from the outer corner of your bottom lash line halfway up towards the tail of your brow.

2) Draw the rest of the outer wing: Starting from the tip of the angled line, draw another diagonal line down to the middle of your upper lash line to connect the liner and create the wing, shaping it into a skinny triangle.

3) Fill in the wing: Once you’ve sketched out the wing, fill in the gap with your liner for a bold eye.

4) Line the inner corner of your eye: Finish your winged liner by lining your inner lash line. Start from the tear duct and follow the natural shape of your eye, making sure to stick as closely to the lash line in the inner corner to create a sultry look.

5) Smooth out the edges with a liquid liner: To define your liner, layer a black liquid liner over the gel liner to darken the wing. Flick the brush over the tail of the wing to clean up the edges for a clean and crisp look.
