For devoted fans of Marc Jacobs fragrance, it seems like a sniff of breaking beauty news is in the air. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the 51-year-old designer is set to release an upcoming summer fragrance. The scent, Mod Noir, is expected to hit the shelves at Sephora stores in the U.S. and will be available at U.S. locations of Marc Jacobs boutiques in June. In July, the new fragrance will officially make its global debut.

Mod Noir will be created with heart notes of Jacobs’ signature gardenia scent. Along with this floral essence, WWD reports that the fragrance will also feature green notes and creamy musks. With summer nearly on the horizon, a hint of gardenia definitely sounds like a refreshing idea for a warm weather fragrance.

As for the packaging, Jacobs is unveiling this upcoming scent in an eye-catching black and white striped bottle. The neutral colour scheme and striking striped pattern on the outside not only bring the Sephora logo to mind, they also blend in with Spring 2015’s runway trend of bold stripes!
