Young Albertan actress Morgan Taylor Campbell is one to watch on the Canadian scene with her new leading role on Spooksville on HUB. This budding beauty will be an idol for aspiring actors with her quick rising career and stunning look. Morgan Taylor Campbell told Real Style that “My biggest secret is no harsh chemicals, so when it comes to skincare, I try to abide by the ‘if you wouldn’t eat it don’t put it on your skin’ rule, as closely as I can.” Find out what her favourite beauty products are now:

Dr.Bronner’s Liquid Rose Scented Soap – A little bird recently told me that washing your face with just water is the best way to prevent acne.  Now, he’s a man and doesn’t wear makeup on a regular basis, but neither do I, so this really works for me too just as a way of removing the day’s dirt and fingerprints.  Before bed, I thoroughly rinse my face with warm water and pat dry with a towel.  However, when I do have makeup on, I just use a very mild soap, such as Dr. Bronner’s, on a face cloth to remove it and then repeat the same process as above.

Organic Coconut Oil – My full body moisturizer is Organic Coconut Oil.  I like to leave my face fresh at night after I rinse it, to produce its natural oils* and in the morning if my skin still feels a bit dry I will put a light layer of coconut oil on it.  It is also the toner and moisturizer I use if I’m about to put make up on.  Just allow it some time to absorb into your skin because it is fairly greasy.  *Side note: Natural oils are great for your hair, so I only wash mine when it gets on the verge of being uncomfortably oily.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – I can’t stop using it! I find lip balm that really soothes chapped lips quite hard to find and it’s important to me because otherwise I end up chewing the dry skin on my lips.  I like that it is colorless for daily use so I don’t get it all over the place, but it’s also great under and over lipstick to keep your lips feeling soft.

Desert Essence Green Apple & Ginger Shampoo and Conditioner – It has been my favorite for years.  I always get compliments on how my hair smells when I use it and it leaves my hair feeling bouncy and soft.  I have Celiac, so I have to watch out for products that aren’t gluten free, but this one says it is right on the label!

Afterglow Cosmetics – On the red carpet, the brand of makeup I use is Afterglow Cosmetics.  The ivory powder foundation feels weightless and covers blemishes very well.  I use the powdered eye shadows as eyeliner and just apply with a wet eyeliner brush.  I love that it glides on smoothly and doesn’t smudge or crumble like many eyeliner sticks I’ve used in the past.
