Get Megan Draper’s Braided Headband From Mad Men Season 6
We’re clearly well into the ’60s when Mad Men returns to AMC for its season 6 premiere on Sunday, April 7. AMC just released promotional photos for Mad Men season 6 today (as in the photo above), and we couldn’t be more psyched for Don Draper to return to the small screen. With season 7 set to be the final season of Mad Men, that means season 6 is going to be a roller coaster of activity. Word is that part of the season will even be set in Hawaii.
If there is one thing we’re looking forward to besides the return of Jon Hamm to our living room on a weekly basis, it’s Megan Draper’s style. Played by Canadian actress Jessica Pare, who’s actually a native of Montreal in real-life just like her Mad Men character, Megan Draper embodies ’60s sexiness at its best. Last year, we were all about her shoulder length hair cut, especially when she rocked a more ’60s era bob while performing “Zou Bisou Bisou” at Don’s birthday (as seen in the photo on the left). This year we’re looking forward to the many different hairstyles of Megan Draper now that she’s got long, flowing hair. Although Megan Draper wore her hair in a braided updo in season 5, it looks like the braided headband is likely to become one of her signature looks in season 6, now that her hair is longer. If there’s one hair trend we totally support from the ’60s, it’s the braided headband. Megan Draper uses the braided headband as a simple and gorgeous way to pull back loose curls without the need of any major accessories. It’s ’60s footloose-and-fancy-free at its most fabulous. Check out the video below to see how you can get the look. We suggest adding loose curls like Megan Draper for the ultimate bohemian princess vibe.
